How do I know when it’s time to replace my furnace or AC?
Most furnaces last 15–20 years and air conditioners 10–15. If your system is in that range and needs a major repair, replacement often makes more sense than pouring money into old equipment. Other signs: rising energy bills, uneven temperatures room to room, and repairs becoming a yearly event. We’ll always give you an honest read on whether a repair or a replacement is the better value.
How often should my system be serviced?
Once a year per system — heating in the fall, cooling in the spring — so two visits a year for most homes. Regular tune-ups keep your system efficient, catch small problems before they become breakdowns, and are usually required to keep manufacturer warranties valid.
What size system does my home need?
It depends on your home’s square footage, insulation, windows, and layout — not just a rule of thumb. An oversized system short-cycles and wears out early; an undersized one runs constantly and never quite keeps up. We do a proper sizing assessment before recommending any equipment.
Why are my energy bills so high?
Common culprits: an aging or poorly maintained system working harder than it should, leaky ductwork, a clogged filter, or a thermostat that isn’t doing you any favors. A tune-up is the cheapest place to start — we’ll find what’s dragging your efficiency down and tell you what’s worth fixing.
Can I get service after business hours?
Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 to 5 — but if your heat goes out on a January night or your AC dies in a heat wave, call 541-620-7246 and we’ll do everything we can to get you taken care of quickly. Quick response — from repairs to full system replacement.
